What's On in Houston: Restaurant Weeks Is Back

There's nothing like a good meal to remind you why you fell in love with this city — and August 1st through September 7th, Houston Restaurant Weeks gives you 38 days of reasons to explore it, one table at a time.

What It Is

Now in its 22nd year, Houston Restaurant Weeks brings together the city's most beloved restaurants offering specially priced, multi-course menus — brunch and lunch at $25, dinner at $39 or $55. Dine-in or take-out, your choice. And it's for a good cause: every meal supports the Houston Food Bank, one of the largest in the country.

Why I Love Sharing This With You

Part of helping clients fall in love with a neighborhood is showing you what daily life actually looks like there — the coffee shop on the corner, the park where families gather on Saturdays, and yes, the restaurant where you'll want to celebrate your first night in a new home. Houston Restaurant Weeks is the perfect excuse to explore a few neighborhoods you might be considering, one dinner reservation at a time.

A Few Ways to Make the Most of It

  • Use it as a low-pressure way to "test drive" a neighborhood you're considering — grab dinner there and see how it feels after dark, on a weeknight, when the tourists have gone home.

  • Bring the whole family; several participating restaurants offer patio seating, which makes for an easy end to a day of house-hunting.

  • Check the full restaurant list and menus at houstonrestaurantweeks.com before you go — reservations fill up fast on weekends.

Know a neighborhood you'd love a firsthand look at before you commit? Happy to share my favorite spots — whether you're picking a restaurant or a zip code.

Wherever you land in Houston, I love helping clients feel connected to the city, not just the address.‍ ‍
